No, he just tried it out during the bowl practices. He'll be a DE/DT.

erase Ruhland, OL NEVER contribute as frosh unless there's a huge depth problem. Need the RS badly to develop strength/technique. Same with hoover and Worthy, though they're more likely than the OL.
J. Williams will probably contend for the starting MLB spo.
Smith and Martin have great chances to get PT, though Dell, Cunningham, Allison and Curry will be in the way, so I'd expect them to get worked in at some point, but not start.
Trawick/Burrell will battle Jenrette for the SS spot. The other spots in the secondary are pretty much locked down. CB: Davis-clark, Weaver, CLR, FS: Wiley.
Adams is probably the most likely to start, though as a KR/PR.

I tried to find the article that cited that MJ only tried TE for the bowl game. I failed .
Your guess is as good as mine, though he seems rather enormous to play TE, 6'6 300 is a bit absurd.

The rumor I heard was a Juco LB. Get some size in now.
Apparently Winston will be RB, not LB.

It has been discussed on UB that MJ will be TE with Hoover starting as DE...apparently his drills are going very well and he is at 280lbs already.

280 lb DE? I like them in the 260-270 lb range. As a freshman being that big, I can't see him staying at DE his whole career. He sounds like a future DT or OT to me.

agree with smithsonga....
I also read that Coach D is looking to add a juco LB. Very good idea IMO if the guy is ready to step in, because even though I'm VERY happy with our LB's for this class, most all (except Williams) won't be ready for the two deeps.
As for Michael Jordan, I think there's too much smoke for the TE rumor not to be true. I guess that's ostensibly to road grade people. Anyone remember Spartan TE's like Dwayne Young, and Josh Keur that played under Perles? That's what I'd expect to see out of Mr. Jordan. Get him out on the edge and just HAMMER people.
Winston at RB has me a little giddy right now. He's probably green (no pun intended), but we'll see in a hurry if this guy is the real deal. His measurables sure are the real deal, because it's very possible he'll be pushing 220 LBS. by August after 6 months in the weight room and eating right as well. Man, when does spring practice start?

I hope so. If he gets eligible he can be a force at DT.
