Love this quote from Ray.

"I want a chance to build my legacy within a new program instead of going somewhere that's already established and not willing to change anything," said Ray, who rated three stars from Rivals.com. "I want to be part of the first class that does something big at Michigan State in awhile."

GREAT quote.

This is the attitude that MD and this program needs.

BTW - this is a foundation class.

The comments below that article are sad.

"Where are the defensive backs". Collectively, this may be the best DB class in a long time for MSU. Trawick, Burrell, Adams and Robinson are guys with size and speed.

With Adams already enrolled, I expect him to really surprise in 08.

Coupled with the guys MD got last year, the once shoddy defensive backfield has made major strides of improvement.

One thing to consider, I read that MD has put over 30 DB's in the NFL.

MD knows defense.

Many of the clowns who posted below the article are not Spartan fans. That said, Mlive is horrible, the posters cry more there, the mods are pro-SCum, and SCum trolls run wild.

If you keep scrolling down, you'll see that the guy misspoke: he meant DE's, not DB's. And he's right on that, although you have to count Anderson as a "recruit."

Yeah, I was wondering where the Demand Excellences were in that class, too!
