They were OK, pretty good considering $$aban culled the insane asylums, jails and homes for sexual deviants coast to coast to find his recruits.

This will get bounced to the new board.
I think $abin did a double team with his new coach Bobby Williams using the "we coached your father to the NFL" approach.
The more I think about it, Ingram is the only MI recruit 'Bama chased. Much more to do with Ingram than MSU dropping the ball.

He had NCAA sanctions to deal with too. Part of the reason he left is becuase he couldn't recruit as well as he wanted. Too much UM, OSU, ND to deal with. What a pathetic quitter.

So now he's at Bama, kicking ass, and beating out teams like LSU, FL, Ga, Auburn, Tenn. If that's a quitter, where do we sign up? U must be a pathetic failure. Go back to your basement and cheetos.

Jerrell Harris just chose $$aban over USC, among others. That solidifies its spot as the No. 5 class and potentially bumps them up even higher. He's an OLB/DE 'tweener with good pass rushing skills and raw tools who needs to refine his positional fundamentals.

According to Rivals, they already have the #1 class in the nation.

Uhh, just to point something out.
He didn't accomplish crap before he got to state except a stint in the NFL.
Now at Alabama, he's already won a NC and been an NFL head coach and is at a traditional powerhouse school.
Jeez, I have no idea why Saban's getting great recruits now versus what he got at State

Front Page of Yahoo Sports has Bama #1. Please note that the article mentions two other RBs and no Ingram.

He hasn't won $#$# at Bama, he went a catastrophically-disastrous 7-6 which included a loss to Louisiana-Monroe. And he was an unmitigated failure as an NFL head coach.

Next time do some homework. So being Defensive Coordinator of the Cleveland Browns is considered a non accomplishment? How about being a disciple of Bill Belicheck? Yeah, thats meaningless to recruits. U must of overdosed like Heath Ledger with that logic of yours. Wake up.

Saban was a good recruiter, however stacked his class for 1999 screwing over Bobby Williams and the future of MSU. The guy is a complete snake. Another thing, he managed to have one good season with all his talent and was an amazing 0-4 in bowl games. Yet some want to praise him and call him a Spartan great

Sounds like a Saban type of season to me
7-6 was about the norm for him around here. Not to mention him almost blowing the Bama bowl game up 5 TDs and getting into the prevent offense and barely holding on.

Don't forget he coached at LSU!
His first full recruiting season ended with keeping the in-state #2 National prospect Julio Jones at Alabama instead of USC. USC thought they had him.
He has the best class in the US.
Why can't we split the difference and get a top twenty class.
