Okay Guys, we rip him to shreds most of the time....
But try not to fall over in shock when you read this:
DREW SHARP: Dantonio’s efforts have MSU back on track

That’s a small, yet necessary, improvement. But until there’s a little more SEC sprinkled in, the Spartans will continually serve as the determined but overmatched “little brother” to Ohio State and Michigan in the short term.

Eh, so what about the jab. For the most part his article is right, so it's nice to see a postive spin from him for once.

its the truth. it was a foundation class and it will take a couple classes to repair what JLS did to the program

Agree with Sharp for once, I do.
The problem is the Freep waited until signing day to run ONE MSU related story.
We just went thru an unprecedented two month propaganda campaign for RR and UM. I've never seen anything like it.

Totally agree with this article.
This is a solid "first" class for . His challenge will be developing the 2 & 3 "stars" into All-Big Ten players....which I believe will happen.
This, and MSU's renewed commitment to FB (see the Duffy expansion/renovation), are two elements we've not seen around here in a looooooong time.
Does anyone realize the "new" Duffy building will have a weight room larger than MOST SEC schools? Hard to believe but true.

Exactly.
Where was the positive pub. weeks or even months ago? Most of our main kids have been on board for at least that long.

It's an interesting read. Saban left EL because, at least in part, he felt like he couldn't constantly compete against Michigan and Ohio State for recruits and get to that "next level." Will ? He's trying like hell so far to, as a poster said earlier today, "freeze the pipeline."

About the jab. Something about it almost motivates me. It's like saying yes, Michigan and OSU are the class of the conference. But there's this pesky team called Michigan State that won't bow to them.
With the speed coming in, I'd love to see this team play a bit edgier. We saw it last year a bit, especially against PSU. Dantonio's teams never give up.

Wow for once I agree with this guy especially on this quote, "For Michigan State, it’s not about the number of four-star recruits it signs now, but the two- and three-star players that can help develop a sturdy program. That’s the foundation from which championship seasons and Rose Bowl appearances are inevitably erected.

The thing is that we just got to be patient it's not going to happen after one season. We need to consistently be ranked at the end of the season before we can attract the top notch recruits.
