Rank the 08 commits
Alright now that signing day is over, rank your top players you think for this class, basically ur own opinion not that of Rivals.
My top 21 is as follows:
1. Fred Smith
2. Johnny Adams
3. Tyler Hoover
4. Jamiihr Williams
5. Steve Gardiner
6. Glenn Winston
7. Charles Burrell
8. Ethan Ruhland
9. Jerel Worthy
10. Caulton Ray
11. Keshawn Martin
12. Brynden Trawick
13. Anthony Woods
14. Myles White
15. Cameron Jude
16. David Rolf
17. Chris McDonald
18. Zach Heuter
19. John Deyo
20. Drew Stevens
21. Trenton Robinson
Most Underrated: Myles White.
If he can gain weight he could be a veryy good WR. He has great hands and great route running and speed. All he needs to do is fill out a little more.
Most Overrated: Keshawn Martin
Don't get me wrong I think he can be a stud, he's just all potential at this point and is really raw. He needs to gain weight and learn the WR position such as route running and stalk blocking.
Favorite Player in this class: Glenn Winston
I think he has so much potential to be a Stud RB or a Stud LB. I would really love to see him on the defensive side of the ball laying the wood on tacklers instead of running them over, but I wouldn't mind another Jehuu. I think he could be an amazing LBer tho.

By his brother you mean Austin, who is only a sophomore in high school. There is no guarantee that his twin brother Mitchell will even be on the team this fall as he does have a track scholarship.

if you notice in the presser Dantonio makes reference to his twin brother - saying "he has a twin brother that who high jumps 6'8" and we are looking foward to 'them' coming"
So he may give it a try this fall

I think the biggest impact guys as freshman will be Hoover, Adams, Trawick, Winston, and Smith.
I think they end up red-shirting Martin. I think the year of learning the system and really advancing his skills and speed can make him in 2009 what BJ Cunningham hopefully will be in 2008. Regardless, if Foles pans out, and Maxwell is they guy after him, we are gonna be just fine at the skill positions for years to come. In fact, the only place I worry about on either side of the ball (with Norman now in the fold at LB) is the offensive line. We really need guys to step up and show that they are Big Ten caliber lineman this year. Maybe they are, I hope so, but they need to know that they are key to the success of this team.

Try to stay away from things like "this guy is overrated" if you could....especially when no one has seen them play in a Spartan uniform.

Why is this in the recruiting board?
They've all signed LOIs, they're not recruits, they're Spartan Players.

The thread title does say "commits" not "recruits" and well, not jinxing anything, but I'll wait til they are all on campus.

Its not a knock on the player or anything, I just think Martin has a ton of potential and learning the position to do before he's successful, where everyone tends to think he's a sure thing because he can juke people out when he has the ball. First can he catch the ball consistently? how is his route running? can he block receivers? can he make the tough catch in traffic? Those are just a lot of things he's yet to prove so thats why I put hes overrated in people's eyes. Not a knock on his talents at all tho.

Then say "commits with a question mark or something". Saying that someone is "overrated" IS a knock on them, whether it's what you intended or not.

Are you kidding me about Keshawn Martin????
That kid would be a solid 4* and should probably be listed in the Rivals 250, but because he was under everyones radar he will slide in here and make everyone ask where he came from.
And as far as your "rankings" go, I'm not sure Alabama has 11 kids I would rather have than Keshawn Martin.

How many of these guys have you seen play in a game, outside of highlight reels? My guess is most of you are just blowing smoke.

It wouldn't be fair for me to rank them since I only studied the entire season's film on 12 of them....

you guys are idiots...
