Ht: 6-foot-0
Wt: 225 lbs

I don't follow High School wrestling at all, but was at regional's today in Southgate and saw this guy tossing around his opponents like they were in middle school. He's built like Atlas and pinned both guys I saw in less than a minute. He's the #1 ranked wrestler in the country for the 215 weight class. He won some kind of national championship this summer.
From what I heard he has his choice of schools to wrestle at but wants to play football as well. Was told he wants to go to MSU but is getting more interest from West Virginia to do both. I'm well aware that wrestling doesn't translate to football and it doesn't look like he has any kind of big time football interest. It wouldn't hurt to show some interest, at the very least to help the wrestling team. Get him on scholarship for wrestling and have him be the first guy off the bus for the football team.
He's listed as a linebacker....check out some google images of this guy.

I am a big time follower of high school wrestling, he is easily the most imposing person I have ever stood next too. He may also be the most physically dominant wrestler I have ever seen.

Acording to both scout and rivals profiles, despite being a great wrestler, he has had no football offers. I'm not judging his ability based on stars - but if he was a steal, someone would have atleast offered.

Michigan: Meet Stephen Schilling and Carson Butler. They’re the reason why the cupboard isn’t bare for Rich Rodriguez. Carson Butler is the next Bennie Joppru. And Stephen Schilling is…a right tackle, I can’t do this. The Wolverines are in danger of a 5-7 season. And if you’re a hater? It’s beautiful.

needs to be faster than 4.7 and at only 6 foot, he's short for a linebacker

Give this kid a wrestling schollie and a pair of shoulder pads for two-a-days.

I like the idea of him as a lead blocker for Caper...that would be badass

Au contraire, mon frère!! Wrestling is great for football because of leverage, footwork, and the ability to grip and use the hands. 6' is not too short for a linebacker. The guy has a listed vertical of 33 inches for heaven's sake.
The header says an '08 recruit. Is he an '09 recruit?

Nope, the links at the top show he's a 2008 grad.

Well no offer may indicate grade problems. He looks like a FB to me, maybe he walks on somewhere if he really wants to play football.

If West Virginia doesn't OK him to play football too, that's likely what will happen. No reason to back out of his commitment.
