Northwestern and MAC schools. It's awfully early though, he would have gotten heavy interest. He'll be about as high as Hoyer I'd suspect when it's all said and done. Top 15ish with a 5.7 ranking. That being said, he did very well at the Elite 11 camp last year and if he repeats his performance then he could get much higher.

I look forward to his Elite 11 performance, but I would expect high 3-*, MAYBE a 4*. Not that it matters.
His exposure at Elite 11 camps would get him the offers...other schools just havent discovered him yet.

As of right now expect 3 stars. If he impresses at the elite 11 camps, then look for him to move up to 4 stars. He just doesn't have eye-popping stats or offers yet to warrant 4 stars.

exactly, it doesn't really matter. He is good, we like him, and he likes us. Sounds like we got our guy. Great, great pick up this early. Looks like we are going to fill up all our skilled positions before the summer, and then just sit back and real in the big boys.

Dude no way. First fellow Chemic I'm aware of to get this kind of attention. Hope he kicks some ass when he gets here.

I've seen nearly everyone of his high school games. He has the best arm of any quarterback I've seen in 35 years of watching high school football. In terms of stats, he plays for a team that runs the ball 85 percent of the time. He has rewritten every passing record in the history of the school, which has 31 consecutive winning seasons. They changed coaches this off season so it will be interesting to see if they throw more next year. All and all MSU is not only getting a great quarterback, it is getting a great person and leader as well. Congrats to Andrew and Michigan State!!! This will be a great fit.

QFT. Midland has one of the best programs in the state, year in and year out. However, most of the time this is a result of their success running the football. He definitely has a nice arm and it will be interesting to see if the first year coach keeps the traditional Chemic offense in place, or if he opens it up a little more for Maxwell.

Another UM funny:
Guys on the 'Fort' were criticizing Maxwell's footwork and running ability....but said they havent seen him throw, which is supposed to be his strength.
A pro style drop back passing QB and you havent seen them throw...hmmm....
This was brought to my attention by a poster on UB.

Interesting comments on attending NW's Junior day. Looks like that solidified his decision.

Though you're right, it's too bad that offers result in stars instead of stars being dependent on performance only. Seems to me if Maxwell can duplicate his E11 performance from last year he's easily a 4 star, regardless of offers. Of course, if he does that, the offers will come.

If he gets an expected Elite 11 invite, no ranking system is going to have him under 4 stars regardless of offers.

How does this work? Is the Elite 11 the same as the EA Sports E11 camps going on? I saw that Renner said he was going to the State College PA camp and Maxwell mentioned maybe Texas. Are these invite only camps?

There are multiple E11 camps, but only one real E11 event. After going through all the E11 camps you get an invite by Bob Johnson to be an Elite 11 participant.
