Let's hope that Caper sees some real playing time opportunity now that MI is Bama bound. This kid's measurables are very similar...

I have followed AASpartan's commands and have buried my head in the sand for the 09 prospects. Any idea on where this guy is leaning ?

We didn't know until today for where some '08 recruits were leaning....We have 365 days to wait it out.

Caper is going to be a big time recruit for 09. I really don't expect to hear anything any time soon. Especially with a 4 month dead period coming up. Maybe after camp season.

msu/nd...has been for a while. lots of insiders think state has the edge...prolly even moreso with only one back in 08 and only 4 total going into 09.

acts/sats don't really prove much imo. some people are better in school than taking tests. there really is not a huge correlation of where people score on those and how they do in college.

It's a combination of the two, where the correlation comes in, that said he will probably take it again and do a lot better. Not many juniors have their ACT done by now, and the statewide test is coming up anyways so a lot of kids scores will go up.

Caper is a huge huge recruit for us. Rumors are swirling that he is very interested in MSU but nothing more then that right now

So does conventional wisdom say Caper gets an offer very soon as well, given that Baker got his today? I'd love to get both if they don't mind playing together. Didn't seem to bother Ringer/Jimmerson....

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

After watching both clips, my very non-expert opinion likes Baker just a little bit better. I like his speed and cutting ability better than Caper's.

Some people really struggle with the whole "standardized test" thing. Not totally uncommon. On the other end of the fence if could be a sign that the teachers are letting him skate by easy on his grades due to who he is.

I go to school with Caper, at the Battle Creek Math and Science Center. We talk about MSU all the time. He says MSU is in front by a long shot right now. He said Jonas Gray to ND really set them back.

He is always talking about MSU. I would be very surprised if he is not a Spartan in '09!

PS- He is a very smart kid. Should be no problems with qualifying. Math and Science Center is all AP classes.

Just because Caper has seen Jonas at camps before and says he's a phenominal back. Doesn't really want to sit behind him forever. He likes the new style as well. Says its better than the ego-filled campus of ND. More of a family environment at MSU.

Obviously he's not for sure yet, but like I said, MSU is in front, and I would be very surprised if he's not in G & W after next year.
