First time I've really followed Junior Day, but did Williams and John L used to have this? Did we bring in any big names if they did?

Nice height, looks to have a good frame, 4.6 is great LB speed, especially for a MLB

Everyone has one. Some schools make them huge gatherings of talent, other schools use it to focus in on 20ish kids. I think this was about the number MSU had last year.

It's really weird (and exciting) to hear kids saying stuff like this:

Quote:
"Growing up most of my family was split. Some were Michigan fans and some were Michigan State fans so I kind of rooted for both teams, lately though I have been leaning toward Michigan State," Gainer said.
Great momentum these days. Have to attribute it to the hard work by the coaches and getting kids like Fred Smith, but I don't think we can under estimate how important it is having Chris Norman in these kids' ears so early in the process. Love it.

Yes, and having Chris at these Junior days is huge.

Gainer has a good time on MSU visit $

Had a good time at MSU's junior day. No offer from the staff yet.

*Also a note in there from SpartanMag that they only have about 15 more scholarships to give out. We'll see.

Scout - Gainer Ready for Impending Transition $

Colleges are recruiting him as a WILL. Indiana is his lone offer....but going to CMU to pick up one from them. Plans to camp at UofM and MSU this summer. Wants to make a decision before his senior year.

Rivals - LB Gainer Picking Up Offers $

Spartan John Friendly

Quote:
One of the prospects that SpartanMag.com expects to be one of the fastest rising recruits in Michigan for the class of 2009 is Jeremy Gainer of Livonia Clarenceville High School. Gainer recently picked up another scholarship offer and was at the Rivals.com 5-Star Academy Day at Michigan State. Find out the latest.

That sack of **** still posts on Spartanmag? If his infamous "this team can finish anywhere from 0-12 to 12-0" wasn't enough to ruin his credibility and right to complain about anything I don't know what will. He makes ghost/blanch/tan look like Dick Schaap.

Any reason why he hasn't gotten an offer yet? His measurables seem great and he's already met with the staff.....

He'll probably get an offer if he has a good camp showing.
