I've been up for hours. Not changing it until it's officially announced. I know that the Klatts wanted to wait until they had talked to all the coaches that were recruiting him first...so I'm respecting their wishes. That Ohio newspaper was kinda crappy to print that.

Longo seemed like a better prospect, but I'll take OSU's scraps any day.

great, great get.
Now go out and get that pure tackle and a couple others and our O-line recruiting will be very nice

Longo's built like an OT, and Klatt's a center (or possibly a guard), its not a fair comparison. Klatt will probably be a 4 year starter at center, thats all we should care about.

Here's another paper reporting it:
http://www.cantonrep.com/index.php?ID=419605&Category=17&subCategoryID=0
Doesn't seem like much of a secret. And even though I know damn well OSU didn't offer him, I'm using this article as ammo against my UM-fan co-worker in claiming that Nate had offers from 2008 BCS Bowl participants OSU, Illinois, & Kansas.

Several sources are reporting it but I agree....respect the parents wishes if that is what they wanted to do...

Seems like it's his coach that is blabbing. Tsk tsk. In any event, no need to rush.

I absolutely agree, why ruin the kids moment in the sun? Let him announce it. If that newspaper got the news, they should've kept it out of the public and just pm'd us . Seriously that's pretty bush to put an article out before he gets to announce it.

The coach apparently made the announcement for Nate. Pretty low IMHO. Nate wanted to talk to the coaches at MSU and his other schools and announce formally himself. You only get one chance to announce an acceptance of a D1 scholarship and the coach couldnt hold his own piss in.
Nate would like to announce this on Rivals Radio tomorrow am.

C'mon, like putting his verbal up on the Duffy is "ruining his moment in the sun"?

I was referring to the Ohio newspaper that put the article out before he could announce it. I wasn't referring to this forum.

Klatt also was nominated to play in the 2009 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, which will take place in San Antonio on Jan. 3.
Who was the last recruit that we had to play in the All-American Bowl?

That actually doesn't mean he is going.
Nominations are different than actual selections for the All-American Bowl.
A number of recruits have been nominated. This is the complete list of nominations, as you can see not all of these guys will make it.
