That interviewer was a real jerk beyond having a lousy personality and hardly letting Klatt speak. Having that said, Klatt sounds like an intelligent and polite young man. He should be a real asset and leader for the team.

The thing I like most about this kid is not only is he a 4* recruit, but also a 4.0 student. I am absolutely loving the fact that Dantonio is bringing in quality football players and quality students and citizens. Its nice to see that we will have plenty of STUDENT-athletes.
That is great for the program. Its builds the reputation of the MSU football program, and it greatly reduces the attrition within the program. This is HUGE knowing we will have all of these players that will be here for 4 years, and also the kids who are on the border of in terms of good students and good citizens.
Great pick up !! Keep it Up!!

yeah, it would be very interesting to see how many 4.0/4 star kids there are every year, and how their football/academic careers pan out over time.

Any chance we should be worried about Watt to ND as opposed to tOSU?

No that is why they offered Longo. They didn't feel confident with Watt when they gave out the offer.

OSU has an Offer to Marcus Hall, 5 * OL from Cleveland, OH, Glenville HS. He has several BCS offers but shows "high" interest in OSU according to Scout. I think OSU was starting to realize that Watt was leaning toward ND and I think they're counting on getting Hall, so I don't think OSU will be looking at the OH O-linemen that MSU is interested in.

couple that with the MD/Tessell relationship and the "Gentleman's agreement" crap with DickRod last year and I don't see Tessel offering Klatt now, the **** storm he would have to endure from his comment on UM and his known friendship with MD would be too much of a headache for him

Very nice props for Klatt from the Big 33 game...
Future Spartans Nate Klatt and Denicos Allen lead Ohio to victory in annual all-star game - Michigan State Spartans Sports: News, Blogs, Photos, Audio, Schedule & Stats - MLive.com
Michigan State fans probably don't need too many reasons to get excited for the 2009 season but add Klatt to the list.
Klatt was the best offensive lineman on the field, and what appears to be a recruiting lapse in judgment on behalf of Ohio State who didn't offer Klatt, has turned into green-and-white gold for MSU.
How many times have you seen an offensive lineman in college who could play left tackle, right tackle, guard, and center equally well?
Well, if you want to see one, check out Klatt in East Lansing. He may not ever leave the field.
