Have to think we're in a pretty good spot here if he's actually down to MSU & Wisconsin because the free Badger boards on both Rivals & Scout have no discussion of him whatsoever.

Thanks for the film Stats. I had only seen a minute long reel before. This footage justifies what has been said about him...speed, instincts, and a sure tackler. He was at MSU for the Iowa game. I hope he saw the opportunity he has here. We could've used a player like that filling the gaps and stopping Shonn Greene. Also, Wisc. just got a LB from FL today, hopefully that helps our chances. He will probably decide a few days after this weekend considering Jarius Jones will be here for OSU. I definitely want him as a safety here. He looks like another steal for us out of Ohio. Hopefully good news for us in the next week or so.

If Hammock doesn't commit on his visit to us on the 22nd, I don't think we land him.
The kid has to make it up to campus before he gets an offer so hopefully he can do that soon.

Did I miss something re Hammock,,,,thought he'd verballed to us already ?

We likely did on the visit. As has been reported in interviews for the past month or so, the staff really turned the attention on him. He apparently said that he loved it at MSU on the visit too. Unfortunately, his other suitor is Wisky and he's visiting them on an official next weekend.

Wisky just got a verbal from another LB. They are recruiting Allen as an LB. Not to say they dont want him as a safety also tho.
What are thoughts on comparing programs?
MSU: obviously on an upswing, good availability at Safety for PT.
Wisky: historically better program in recent times, but getting slammed in some games this year.

Holy crap he looks good on video. With that speed there is no doubt he could play safety. That kick return was just absurd.

Much shorter drive for Mom and Dad. Already a very strong recruiting class. Many OH players past and present. An "Ohio coach'. If Wisky is anything like Minnesota, actually noticably warmer.

Hamilton senior LB Denicos Allen has orally committed to Michigan State, Hamilton coach Jim Place just told me.
"We just hung up the phone with coach Dantonio," Place wrote by e-mail. "He canceled his official visit this weekend to Wisconsin."

Glad to have you aboard Denicos!! As great as all the offensive recruits have been, I still believe defense wins championships!

wow...he looks like he could step in saturday and provide an immediate upgrade in tackling! not a single ball carrier went forward an inch once he got to them. and he wraps up and takes them backwards as well as anything i've ever seen. pretty damned impressive.

Another think I love about this....half the conference offered him. I think we would have beaten everyone but tOSU for this kid. MD knows what the hell he's doing!
Welcome to Spartan Country Mr. Allen!
