lol... yeah - this kid does resemble Ronnie Lott quite a bit. .
That said - I hope he can play like him. Welcome aboard!

Does he pass Mr. Patrick White as the biggest sleeper in our class? I must say i am really excited about Allen playing in our secondary.

OSU fans who have seen Denicos play say that he reminds them of Donte Whitner.

Denicos is definitely not a sleeper. #33 player in Ohio.

I doidn't mean by sleeper that he wasn't highly reagarded, just that he is most likely better than that ranking. Both White and Allen are highly reagarded but what I meant is that they are somehat overlooked, height for Allen, and honestly I have no idea about White. He looks great on film. I have also seen the comparisons that people make regarding Allen and Whitner. Both have the potential to be great players at MSU.

I should have been more specific in referring to the lack of respect Scout has given to our recruits. I never thought he was a sleep. They do and thats where the question came from.
In any event, I think he will be the next hard hitting saftey MSU produces

Sorry for the confusion. Allen was ranking near the top ten in Ohio by a few sources after his junior year. I have heard people in Ohio say that he is one fo the best and the reason people don't hear more about him is because of his size. I guess this means that if he was 6'3 225 that he would easily be top 10 in Ohio.
As for White, he is outstanding from what I've seen on film. Great player that I'm excited to see at MSU.

I've seen Patrick White play twice. As a receiver he is smooth going downfield, doesn't slow down when he makes his cuts and has great hands. As a CB I never saw him get beat deep or on slants. The only completions on his side of the field were on bubble screens and he came up and made tackles. He has good speed and really closes on the ball. This kid is the real deal. He is an excellent athlete and like Chris L. Rucker would be outstanding on offense or defense !

I'm not convinced he won't end up at linebacker. He reminds me of Ron Stanley out of Saginaw (i.e. 6', 195. 4.5 40). Ron, as we know, was a character guy with a great work ethic that developed into an outstanding linebacker. I believe Ron was 230 lbs + when he went to the pros.

Great get for the Spartans! Denicos plays at a rival high school so I have seen this one man wrecking crew in action for several years. Huge hitter, great speed, good student, coming out of a HS program with a highly regarded head coach. Only question about moving to safety is his hands which are untested. This kid is all athlete (a dominant HS wrestler) and I expect him to excel at MSU with a little coaching.

I always love kids who play other sports (esp wrestling, as I am a former wrestler.) Shows that the kids has a more well rounded skill set. Plus, I personally love kids who wrestle as the sport generally teaches kids to have great/fluid hip movement (which is KEY to being a great safety).
I will be interested to watch and see if he wrestles this fall/winter and if so, how he does.
