This guy is a heat seeking missle...and when he hits someone they go down...Looks like an all conference strong safety, or as they used to say a "rover". Mr. George Webster would be proud.

I will be interested to watch and see if he wrestles this fall/winter and if so, how he does.

did you employ the "shocker" tactic?

This kid is all athlete (a dominant HS wrestler) and I expect him to excel at MSU with a little coaching.

Of the three SS prospects MSU was recruiting Denicos Allen, Jairus Jones and Thomas Gordon, I think Allen has the most up-side and long term potential. Allen is the fastest of the three having run 10.9 seconds in the 100 meters. Allen has great ball instincts and is a vicious tackler. He even returns kick-offs. He is going to be a great addition to the MSU program !

Spartans add 2009 and 2010 commitment
By MATT DORSEY • FREE PRESS SPECIAL WRITER • October 10, 2008
One of the things that many expected to happen when Mark Dantonio was hired by Michigan State was that he would recruit the state of Ohio very well. That has definitely been the case the past two years, and the commitment of safety prospect Denicos Allen of Hamilton High School (Ohio) continues that trend.
The 6-foot-0, 205-pound Allen selected the Spartans out of a total of 27 scholarship offers. His 3 finalists came down to Michigan State, Wisconsin and Illinois. Rivals.com rates Allen as a 3-star recruit and the No. 34 player in the nation at his position.

Ohio outside linebacker chooses Michigan State
Hamilton's Allen picks MSU over Illinois, Badgers
Andrew Mouranie • amouranie@lsj.com • October 8, 2008
EAST LANSING - Add another player to an already loaded 2009 recruiting class for Michigan State.
Denicos Allen, an outside linebacker at Hamilton (Ohio) High, announced Tuesday his intentions to play at MSU.
The 6-foot, 205-pound Allen chose the Spartans over Wisconsin and Illinois. Nearly 20 schools offered him, including fellow Big Ten programs Northwestern, Indiana, Penn State, Purdue and Iowa.
"It was the coaching staff really," Allen said of why he chose MSU. "They care about you as a person first and then as a player."
Allen becomes the 16th member of the 2009 class. He is the third linebacker to commit, joining Chris Norman of Detroit Renaissance and TyQuan Hammock of Fort Wayne (Ind.) Bishop.
"It was definitely something I looked at," Allen said of the recruiting class. "Its an up-and-coming program and its exciting to be a part of it.
"I can't wait to get to East Lansing."
Rivals.com rates Allen as a three-star prospect and No. 34 outside linebacker in the country

To see someone of Allen's size take the mat and have the guy next to me say he is going to Michigan State as a strong safety and runs a 4.5 forty was pretty crazy. What a friggin monster
