It makes the sources that say he's a UM lean look greatly uninformed.

I can see Gholston deciding that the opportunity to play at a place like Florida, Alabama, USC, or OSU is just too great to pass up.
I would be floored, however, if he decided to stay in-state and chose UM.

I agree, prom pic posting is going too far. Maybe a quick little post that he wore greena and white or something, but lets not post pics. Ridiculous. Since they have been rightfully removed, can someone tell me what it was...I'm guessing green?

Lighten up, who cares if someone posts his prom pics? It's not like these are super private photos, he probably had them on his Facebook. That's more solid news on him than anything else we've seen in a long time.

It's still weird if you don't know him.

They're in the public domain so I'm not sure it's really all that weird. No more weird than people posting pics of Clausen drinking at a party. At least these are due to good intentions.

Well it's pretty interesting that this thread has now made the Michigan Daily blog section just because of this picture . . . The Michigan Daily » The Game » Recruit William Gholston going Green?

I just think it's weird to be facebook friends with someone who you don't know, especially if you take pictures of them and post them somewhere else.

you people need to just face the fact that technology has reached the point where people can do this. If Will posted these on his facebook for all to see, knowing full well that he's accepted friendships from people already going to msu or even graduates as well as other highschoolers then I don't think he cares that people see these. period. It's not like were posting these and then bashing the kid. were openly praising him and hoping that he decides to become a spartan. it does seem weird but just understand these are the times we live in. Anything that goes on facebook becomes the property of anyone with access.

One thing for certain.

Trying to follow this on "their" boards sucks. For a group that claims to be "leaders and best" the formats on the fan sites is way behind the times.

Really hard to deny that kind of statement from him. I love it!

I hope that people on the internet aren't going to creep him out and deter him though.. it's not official until he makes it official. Here's to hoping! GO GREEN!

Yeah, the green and white looks really good. Hopefully he'll be wearing it next season.

We need to get him to MSU just for the fact that it is presumed we are the heavy favorites to get him. Letting him get out of state now would be a big blow considering DE/a stud LB is our biggest need.

A commitment from him would start a Chris Norman-like ripple effect on the recruiting trail. We would gain tons of momentum from this, and I think it could have a huge impact on the decisions of players like Bolden, Hicks, and other in-state stars.

Having said that, even though things are looking good, I wouldn't expect anything official for a while. I truly think Gholston is sincere about wanting to wait until the absolute right time to make a commitment. I don't think he's going to cheat his recruiting process, as he shouldn't. Any player that is getting looks from the top programs in the country should be taking a look at everything.

Still, this is awesome to see.

It's hard to say for sure and I don't want to downplay or underrate Norman's impact, but IMHO, this would be bigger. Gholston is an elite recruit and someone who could be a program cornerstone on and off the field for years to come.
