Looks like Will Gholston is a pretty solid verbal to MSU. Either that or he's just messing with the Izzone before making a last-minute switch to Alabama. On a huge recruiting weekend for the football team, Gholston led a parade of recruits -- including Chicago defensive lineman Bruce Gaston -- through the Izzone at halftime. Lots of hand slapping and chanting of various recruits' names.

Will was proudly showing off his shirt with a big green "S" on it tonight at the Country Day/Pershing bball game in Lansing. He was hanging with Bennie Fowler, Dion Sims, and some of the bball team.

Apparently Skyler Shofner and William Gholston have become friends since they first met at the Montana State game last season. The 6'-7", "Twin Towers", stood out as they walked through the Izzone together along with Bruce Gaston and leading the other recruits, enjoying the atmosphere and interacting with the Izzoners. Hopefully, they struck up a friendship with Gaston as well, which could influence him to choose MSU. Gholston and Shofner will be team leaders @ MSU for many years to come.

Saw Will in the Izzone with some other recruits at the game against Illinois. He was really into all of the chants. He is kind of behind the guy up front dressed like a spartan. Yeah, that is Gaston, who is the white kid two over from Big Will?
