resolution which provides that Joel ferguson is gagged, and unable to speak to any media outlet regarding Michigan State Athletics. He would, of course, have to agree to this formal resolution freely. If he didn't then at least the record would exist.
The reason for this is simple. Trustee's are suppposed to have the best interests of the University at their heart. They should say nothing that could be remotely inurious to the University.
MSU relies heavily upon contributions to support its entire athletic program. For a trustee to be quoted in the largest daily paper in the state asserting that
MSU alumni "are the biget bandwagon jumpers ever invented, well you tell me how that carries out a Trustees' mandate?
The facts just don't support Ferguson. Thirty-one sellouts and an attendance record since 1970 that has been in the tope twenty every season without exception. If you want a direct comparison let's look at Illinois. Having gone to the Rose Bowl and having won the Big Ten just a few years ago there are more than 25,000 seasts available (unsold) for the game with
MSU this coming Saturday. If we had 25,000 unsold you're look at a major plague and all of our athletic programs would be shutdown. Why would he say such crap. Well I'm gonna tell ya why. It's not about
MSU, it's not about fairness, it's still about firing a black man that didn't do his job. It's about not hiring a black man that didn't want to be here. It's about the fact that now the doucheman of Ingham county looks like the buffoon we know him to be. And, as Edith Ann used to say, that is the truth. Gag him, I say shut him to hell up and all of
MSU will be better off.
