Spec for spec PCs are still cheaper than Macs. Even the higher end - so I'm not sure how you claim that Macs have "better parts".
For example, if you buy a $500 PC. Don't expect it to last 4 years (but having it last 4 years might not really matter to some people). However, if you want it to last 4+ years, you can 1) buy a Mac for $1200 or 2) buy a comparable PC for $900-$100.
There are also MANY other reasons to buy a PC over a Mac.

(Just like there are other reasons to buy a Mac over a PC). Cost is just one of many factors.
