I've seen the HTC Touch demoed and it's nowhere near as slick as the iPhone is. I know it was launched first, but it seems like a very cheap knockoff of the iPhone.
I used a Dell Axim for a few years and liked it. Comparing it to the iPhone....Windows Mobile has a lot of software, but I'm not sure I'd miss anything on an iPhone. When Apple eventually allows 3rd party apps on the iPhone, all bets are off. It's coming...we just don't know when. As far as the interface, the iPhone blows it away right now. The interface for the multimedia features, obviously, is in a whole different league. Windows Mobile had the features, sure...but Apple made the UI both fun and intuitive. Web surfing on Safari is also a big improvement over Pocket IE.
