I used a Dell Axim for a few years and liked it. Comparing it to the iPhone....Windows Mobile has a lot of software, but I'm not sure I'd miss anything on an iPhone. When Apple eventually allows 3rd party apps on the iPhone, all bets are off. It's coming...we just don't know when. As far as the interface, the iPhone blows it away right now. The interface for the multimedia features, obviously, is in a whole different league. Windows Mobile had the features, sure...but Apple made the UI both fun and intuitive. Web surfing on Safari is also a big improvement over Pocket IE.

It is a cheap knockoff.... but it did provide a nice homepage and plugins for my mogul. Apps may be coming for the Iphone, but I have already picked and tailered apps for Pocket Pc's over the last 7 years. I give you the Iphone interface is much more attractive, but I am unsure how much more efficient it is compared to my mogul. I wouldn't know about Pocket IE since I use both the Mini and mobile versions of opera. The safari browser is attractive, but I haven't had as good of luck finding WIFI hotspots as you have. Surfing EVDO tests my patience, surfing with edge would be nearly pointless.
