To answer the original question, I think the biggest error was abandoning the running game in the NW OT.
I was already thinking ahead then that I hoped he'd go for 2 and end it after we scored 6, considering the heat and humidity that day and that our D wouldn't be able to stop NW in a second OT anyway. Might have been fun to see if that's what he would have called.
