That's exactly um's problem, every year they're 1 or 2 games away from being in the NC picture.
Pretty much every year, they lose their last game to Texas, or USC, or Nebraska, AFTER losing the BT showdown w/OSU.
Every year um gets a great class, often top 5 and if not, then certainly top 10, and pretty much every year they underachieve. When you consider the recruits they get and then consider that all that talent has gotten um exactly .5 NC's since Bo showed up to turn things around in the late '60's, you have to think um has a deep seated problem.
OSU wouldn't/didn't put up with that. Earle Bruce was fired for averaging 9 wins, but couldn't beat um, and the same for Cooper, they got broomed and now OSU has a coach who owns um. OSU is a top 5 job.
