Agree with the other posters who feel the heightened level of publicity and hype in today's recruiting is detrimental to the process. The guys who are basically "holding press conferences " on signing day adds another layer of complexity for the coaching staffs, in addition to stringing along the other HS recruits whose options are dependent on what choices are left after the prima donnas announce their selections.
I do like how MD and staff have conducted themselves. In years past, it seemed like some question mark guys were getting scholarship offers just to guarantee
MSU would use all the available 'ships. I do not sense any desparation from this staff.
For those who are lamenting the lack of verbals for the last couple weeks, it is very possible that is a good sign. It indicates to me the staff is not going to take just anybody.
Also remember that having some openings available after signing day can be useful. Think we are all happy to see Foles and Jordan wearing the Green and White.
