The anthropologist also identified the skeleton pretty damn quick and showed no surprise about finding a polar bear in the desert...as if she had a hand in putting it there.

Eh, I'm gonna say they were flashbacks. Naomi's was a flashback for sure and I see the writers being consistent throughout the episode rather than mixing and matching. Also, Naomi mentioned the found wreckage in season 3 when she landed on the island. Maybe she knew that it was planted and hadn't yet been found??
What I think:
- All 4 of those folks work for Dharma, in some way, shape or form.
- The reason Daniel got upset was because he knew that Dharma was somehow involved in what happened with the plane crashing...or maybe he knew that the survivors were on the island and that some Dharma folks would have to go there--he being one of them??
- Charlotte working for Dharma was probably aware of their time-travel experiments and knew that the polar bear was from these experiments. I'm sure she went directly there because Dharma got tipped off to it being found and she had to go there and try to cover up their involvement somehow (like take the collar off of it).
