I just thought that was a major whiff on the part of the writers, considering only a select few at that point knew Charlie was gone, and even fewer actually knew how he died and for what supposed cause.

I thought it was a major whiff on the writers part to have Ben laugh at the Yoda joke that Sawyer made. With Ben being on the island the whole time, it wouldnt have seen stars wars unless they were getting videos from the outside world.
