He can maintain a good base and mirror a rusher in the short area. He will use his hands to punch, but will keep them low or exposed at times. He can deliver a good punch and will sit in there and battle. He needs to work on staying square and playing with more knee bend. He exhibits adequate strength, but will get straight-legged and can get knocked back. He displays good awareness and will keep his head on a swivel and help fellow linemen. He can get set quickly, but at times can be slow off the ball. When he does that he will allow the defender to get into him. He can deliver a pop on contact in the run game. He does a solid job of using angles to push a defender out of the hole. He does a good job of working up to the second level and getting a piece of moving targets. Markowitz is a solid guard prospect that needs to get into a college weight program and add some bulk.
So if we land him, does McDonald stay on the Defensive side (DE)? I know MD said he could possibly be an OL but with this kid, there's no need for that.

There is always a need for OL. McDonald will stay on the OLine

The square is seldom if ever cool ... He is "not with it", that is, he doesn't know "whats happening." But if he manages to figure it out, he moves up a notch to "hip." And if he can bring himself to approve of what's happening, he becomes "groovy." And after that, with much luck and perseverence, he can rise to the rank of "cool."
