I don't follow High School wrestling at all, but was at regional's today in Southgate and saw this guy tossing around his opponents like they were in middle school. He's built like Atlas and pinned both guys I saw in less than a minute. He's the #1 ranked wrestler in the country for the 215 weight class. He won some kind of national championship this summer.
From what I heard he has his choice of schools to wrestle at but wants to play football as well. Was told he wants to go to
MSU but is getting more interest from West Virginia to do both. I'm well aware that wrestling doesn't translate to football and it doesn't look like he has any kind of big time football interest. It wouldn't hurt to show some interest, at the very least to help the wrestling team. Get him on scholarship for wrestling and have him be the first guy off the bus for the football team.
