From any and all indications, Baker and Caper both seem to be great kids who really like MSU and are Big Ten ready. If one of them happens to commit early, I wouldn't pull the plug on the other just because you want "class balance" or whatever. I realize the staff knows best -- it's just interesting to hear that they're telling these kids they're only planning on taking one RB. |
You can't take them both now if Dantonio really did say that and I have no reason to believe these reports are false.
It would be a bonehead move to wrap up a guy like Baker and then go after Caper and irritate the guy that wanted to be a Spartan the most.
We all know what happened with Ingram and the coaches have learned that sometimes you need to play hard ball with them. Everyone was outraged that we let Ingram get away.
