A-rod contributes in all 5 categories. 3 of them he does very well (HRs, Runs, RBI) and in SB and Average he's still well above average. You don't get that kind of production from anyone with the exception of David Wright and Hanley Ramirez; Ramirez plays for a bad team limiting his numbers, and Wright is great but still doesn't reach A-rod's averages.
I mean, you certainly could convince yourself that Ramirez and Wright are in the neighborhood, and depending on deviations and luck they might be better; but A-rod is still consistently the best option.

And that's the key in a keeper league. With A-Rod, you're guaranteed 35 homers, 110 rbi's, 110 runs, and 15-20 steals at worst. No one else can give you that guarantee.
