That being said, a lot of people (recruiting sites) have been saying that we're replacing the bigs with this class and most don't expect us to take a SG until 2010. Probably one of the reasons that Strickland cooled on us was due to the glut of guards we'll have in 2009.

My point is that its easier to plan for attrition if the classes are more balanced. For example, what happens if Appling comes in as a Freshman when Lucas/Allen/Summers are Seniors and Lucious is a Junior. If he blows up and is gone, we're light again at guard. Look what happened when Taylor left earlier than expected. It honestly set us back 2 years since we didn't have a true pg, even though our other positions were good.
I know Izzo shouldn't just recruit a position, but also a player. 7 sweet 16's in 11 years or whatever... I know Izzo is awesome and this is probably me just being a pessimist. The unevenness is our classes makes me uneasy a bit though.
