With his height at 6' 3", he can play both PG and SG, but which is his game more suited for?
Who would you compare his game to? I know some people on this board have thrown out Derrick Rose, but realistically is he more of a taller Kalin Lucas or Chris Allen or Summers or someone completely different.

Tomaytoe...tomahtoe. Obviously they've seen something different than I. I've only seen three of Appling's games this year and he struggled with his jumper in all of them. I know that he's had some great games shooting. I've read the reports as well. But I trust my eyes more than what I read on the internet, so forgive me if I remain skeptical of Keith being a strong three point shooter at this stage in his career. Promising? Without question. Developed? Not yet. It doesn't mean that I think he's anything less than a great prospect, because he is...so please don't freak out and get all defensive.  |
I've seen Appling a few times this year, and each time he was stroking them with ease. The best I saw him was against PSL Champ Northwestern in a state regional final at East Detroit. Appling (and Nix) was outstanding that game. Had 30+ points in the Doughboys upset.
