If this is a correct assessment, it would seem that we would competing more for linemen that the Wisconsins, Penn States, and Ohio States of the world want, rather than what UofM/Illinois is looking for.

FYI to everyone participating in this discussion, Rod has made Chris Freeman a top priority. I'm not sure that anyone recruiting a 6'10" 350lber would be characterized as willing to give up size.
This is why I posted the original reply requesting the definition of UM type lineman, because the whole premise is a total fallacy.
