Well, Stanton did have a lot of experienced receivers to work with in his senior season, and performed poorly. And those poor numbers came in an offense that likes to pass.
Hoyer had no returning starters at WR to work with. He had Devin Thomas, but Thomas was not expected to be so good. And this was supposed to be a running offense, and he had much better numbers.

MSU to a bowl.
