Hoyer was not great but the only game he cost us was the bowl game. Afew games were closer than they should have been but that only adds to the drama, right? Last year he was junior first-time starter. I will be disappointed if I didn't see progress this year. All in all, he was what
seems to want from his QB's: don't lose games and we will win it with defense and a strong running game.

They have fall practice and the NC games for one to break clear yet. Besides the Cal game we can expect some good playing time for both hopefully before the Big Ten season opens.
