Actually, my post wasn't intended to question Izzo at all. If anything, I was questioning the board's general assumption of what Izzo is doing. Once Nix committed, I asked "what now?" The popular response seemed to be "We recruit Wilson hard and backburner the other recruits to save a scholarship for '10."
I don't know what Tom Izzo is up to; I'm sure he'll do fine by
MSU. I'm just not convinced that we won't have another strong push on someone before Wilson commits in March 2009.
In short, I'm sure Izzo knows what he's doing, but I'm not sure the board knows what Izzo is doing.
