I get your point, but there are other factors with Clarett outside of football. Keith Nichol doesnt have off the field problems. He is a highly touted QB who has done nothing wrong besides lose a starting job that he thought he could win. I dont see the correlation.
Obviously, you always have to factor in character, and there is a trade off of talent vs character. Nichol has no character issue, he is just talent, why wouldnt you want him?
