Yeah I can not imagine how any sort of settlement could be enough to buy a controlling stake in an auto company. Especially since they would have to multiply that by 6 (maybe 5 if they didn't count Aaron) to come up with how much Oceanic paid out. Are we supposed to believe that Oceanic paid out billions of dollars to the six?
