Fair enough point on the first paragraph. I guess what raised my ire a bit was that he is a United fan, but at the same time he seemed to be ripping United for starting so many foreigners. He said these guys "often start"....(proceeded to list a bunch of international players)...."as opposed to Rooney, Hargeaves, Carrick, Scholes, Ferdinand, Brown, Neville..." The English players he listed (apart from Neville due to injury this year) are much more regular starters than a lot of the internationals that he mentioned. |
My apologies, I'm not as well versed as you, I only started following United a couple years ago, and being that I live in South Dakota, there aren't a lot of fans out here for me to chat with.
I wasn't ripping on United for starting foreign players, I was pointing out to whomever I quoted that United isn't as England heavy as he was stating. Just pointing out their foreign players, my bad on the Anderson nationality by the way, at this point he just seems like a vastly overpaid substitute, but Sir Alex probably knows something I don't.
But enough with this, UNITED!
