And I agree that hockey is tough, but the players play much less time, and they play on skates in a controlled environment. And anybody who thinks there isn't "constant hitting" in soccer is completely oblivious. The only reason there are more shots on goal in hockey is because the playing surface is so much shorter, and they can move back on forth faster because they're on skates.

Isn't hitting illegal in soccer?
That's my point on the playing surface. It's shorter, skating is fast and the action is endless. Maybe soccer should shorten the field and liven it up a bit and cut down on the mid-field boredom.
