When a guy commits too early it can cause problems. This kid committed to Depaul before his 9th grade year. Yes, that happens often. Kansas dropped a kid a few years ago, ended up at USC and is an average player. We have offered kids early in the past and then backed off due to very little development.

Recruiting far in advance is obviously risky but it's something that must be done
