Izzo stated that he wants his team to play more athletic this year...he wants to optimize the dribble penetration.

The best thing about the new 3 point line is that it provides more room inside to dribble penetrate. Lucas/Walton/Lucious will have opportunities to be triple option threats on the dribble penetration - go to the hoop, dump off to an inside guy, kick out to a perimeter shot.
