May I, however, sound a muted note of caution? Hossa's rap coming into last season was that he would score bunches of goals during the regular season, and disappear in the playoffs. He seemed to bury that rap last season by scoring in the playoffs -- until the Stanley Cup finals. I'm not looking to win the President's Cup again; I want another Cup. I'm convinced Hossa will help us win one; I'm not so convinced he'll help us win the other.

The best thing about this signing, IMO, is taking him away from Pittsburgh. HA HA!

It isn't Hossa's fault he ran into a brickwall known as the Detroit Red Wings.
