I think the NHL has changed. Skill seems to beat toughness these days.
Brooks Orpik was hitting everyone that stepped on the ice in the SCF, but that didn't seem to take the Wings off their game. Clearly he got under their skin a bit, but it didn't make any difference in the end.
I'll take the skilled guys over the goons any day.
