Player comparison; Hammock vs. Gainer : Both players are currently ranked with 3*'s. Both players are about the same size, @ 6' 1", about 220 lbs. Gainer has a faster 40 time @ 4.56 seconds vs. Hammock @ 4.7 seconds. Gainer plays Safety in HS and is projected to OLB in college. Hammock is projected to MLB.
Hammock has offers from Michigan State, Miami of Ohio, Minnesota, Indiana, Northern Illinois, and Northwestern. Other schools of interest are Iowa, Purdue, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Toledo, and Notre Dame (where he recently camped and is hoping for an offer). He is scheduled to attend
MSU's July camp. He is one of the priority recruits for
MSU because he can play MLB and that will be the last LB position for the 2009 class.
