Read it on the IU scout site if I remember correctly. Basically it said Hammock was very interested in ND but ND told him that they had other offers out but if they didn't work out that they would look to him next. Kind of a plan B scenario.
And as far as him being a package deal with Barnett, it seemed to me like they were saying it would be great if it happened but it wasn't the end-all be-all.
I guess a lot of this boils down to, does Hammock want to wait around on ND to offer or pull the trigger on his own terms (possibly with Barnett). If he does pull the trigger on his own terms I like our chances.
FWIW also, the IU site seemed to feel very confident about their chances of landing both players as well. Might just be a case of wishful thinking on their part or maybe these kids are just aware of who they are interviewing with and are playing the game that is recruiting.
