I think we all understand scholarship limits.

I seriously have to laugh anytime I hear someone say we have four scholarships left and we will take a OT, a CB, a MLB and pass catching TE. Methinks people who say crap like that want to impress people with their knowledge but in reality are simply clueless.

Here is the way I see things:

1) There is absolutely no position of great need we still need to address with the remaining scholarships. There is no one we will take with those scholarships that we can expect, let alone need, to start in the fall of 2009.

2) Dantonio has shown, if any anything, that he values athletes with speed who potentially could play multiple positions. These kids have only played their Junior year of HS ball, and you already want to slot them to what they will be four years down the road? Sure some recruits definitely project to a specific position right now (Maxwell, Baker, Caper, Klatt, Norman) but just as many, if not more, do not.

3) Nobody here, or at spartanmag really knows how many scholarships we will have. We don't know if someone has decided not to return next year, will be medically unable to ever play, will be academically ineligible, etc. In reality only Dantonio knows.

Yes, I beleive that there is "room" for Gordon.
