Here is the way I see things:

1) There is absolutely no position of great need we still need to address with the remaining scholarships. There is no one we will take with those scholarships that we can expect, let alone need, to start in the fall of 2009.

2) Dantonio has shown, if any anything, that he values athletes with speed who potentially could play multiple positions. These kids have only played their Junior year of HS ball, and you already want to slot them to what they will be four years down the road? Sure some recruits definitely project to a specific position right now (Maxwell, Baker, Caper, Klatt, Norman) but just as many, if not more, do not.

3) Nobody here, or at spartanmag really knows how many scholarships we will have. We don't know if someone has decided not to return next year, will be medically unable to ever play, will be academically ineligible, etc. In reality only Dantonio knows.

Yes, I beleive that there is "room" for Gordon.
I agree with almost all of that. I do think the only position we need to take is one more pure DE, unless of course, MD already has that person in mind with the multiple position recruits he has already taken in

The square is seldom if ever cool ... He is "not with it", that is, he doesn't know "whats happening." But if he manages to figure it out, he moves up a notch to "hip." And if he can bring himself to approve of what's happening, he becomes "groovy." And after that, with much luck and perseverence, he can rise to the rank of "cool."
