I look at that and I see a talented but young receiving corp. This is especially true when you consider that with the top 2 in experience you have a walk-on senior with 3 career catches, and an undersized junior with 0 career catches. Those two are role players at best.
Now, if you add Howard to the mix as a junior, he can instantly come in and add some experience and talent to that young receiver corp.
Is it a necessity? Absolutely not, but it is still a tantalizing option if the opportunity presents itself. Especially since he will be a december graduate who can be on campus for winter conditioning and spring ball.

Howard would come in as a Soph. with 3 years of eligibility left. Also, he appears to be D-1 ready, both in ability and physically and he can play and contribute right away in 2009, while Spencer and Fowler are red-shirted.
