I think that Biden was probably chosen just to shore up the whole foreign intelligence part of the ticket's resume. I'm fairly sure that Obama has the whole "change" candidate thing locked up and Biden isn't really going to stop that.
I'm just sort of "meh" on this...it's not like it changes my opinion on the matter...but, i don't think it'll change many opinions anyway.
