This election should not be close. This election is the greatest opportunity for the Democrats to stroll unobstructed into the White House since Tricky Dick. Yet somehow the Dems have effed up this golden opportunity to the point that McCain, a terribly weak candidate, actually has a chance to win. Biden was a terrible choice and he very much weakens the ticket.
Obama was running a masterful campaign in the early days but I guess his total lack of experience in, well, anything, had to surface at some point. It just isn't smart to nominate a guy (Obama) who has never run in a truly competitive election. I almost think Hillary would have been a better choice at this point.
On another note...from a sheer entertainment value standpoint, I
love that Biden is on the ticket. Seriously, he may be THE biggest clown in the Senate. The McCain camp has had some pretty funny ads but ol' Joe will provide the best material yet.
